Investigative journalist Roz Parker lives up to her nickname of 'Nosy'. She's twenty-four,observant, persistent and a networker extraordinaire. with contacts in unusual places. 'Suburban subtle' rather than 'mean streets ' violent, she relies for advice from 'God' her electronic godfather, contactable only by mobile. Roz is investigating academic crimes relating from intellectual property theft  in a university laboratory , but it becomes criminally serious.

Roz is also the creation of four writers.

a.k.aye is the pseudonym of four co-authors who collaborated over four years on this plot, without arguing.

'Formula for Murder' deals with question of  loyalty, altruism and jealousy. Roz eventually deduces who was responsible for the symmetrically conceived crimes, but is it too late?
