AIM: Encouraging adventurous males to write and read about local subjects or aspirations.
Suitable for a Library session or for Year 9-12 or as PD for educators.
1 hour period/session 'behind' YA Fact and Fiction covering how to research, writing hints and why it's worth writing.
Covers co-writing travel adventure memoirs,collaborating on fiction and how to use adventurous 'stuff you know'.
Participant observation such as Antarctic expedition for 'Antarctica's Frozen Chosen' or Darwin for 'Outback Ferals'.
Mother & son co-writing of 'Trail Magic:Going Walkabout for 2184 Miles on the Appalachian Trail' And 'Cycling Solo: Ireland to Istanbul.'
Co-writers on controversial YA fiction 'f2m:the boy within'.
Also includes non-boring writing techniques.
Autographed, participant copies included.
